Beautiful hilltribe doll representing the Hmong (or White Meo) people. The Hmong live in Thailand, China, Myanmar (Burma), Laos and Vietnam. This doll is made in Thailand according to the sticker under her stand that reads 'House of Handicrafts, Name of the Doll: Meo Khao. Designed by: Vanida S. Mongkhone. Handmade by: Yuthana Boonprakong. Made in Thailand'. She is sitting on her knees and is holding a piece of fabric that is embroidered by hand, with traditional Hmong elephant’s foot pattern in cross stitch. Also an appliqué pillow. A little damage to the pink sash at the back, fine otherwise.
