This colorful doll represents one of the 56 officially recognized ethnic groups in China. Someone having the same doll kindly informed us that this doll represents the Bouyei people. The owner had information of it's label too: 'The Bouyei nationality with the population of 2.54 million mainly lives in the Bouyei-Miao borough of Southwest Guizhou province with their own language and character. They are mainly engaged with agriculture, specializing in planting paddy with the main food of rice, enjoying acrid and sourness food. They live in Ganlan houses, flat and stone houses.' Wooden beads attached to hat and costume.
