Usually Santons depict traditional characters from Provencal village life but this one is wearing the traditional costume of the Bretagne (Brittany) region. A male carrying a lantern and walking stick, made of painted clay which is solid and rigid. His arms and legs are partly wired to make them bend. Some little scratches to the lantern and one shoe and one chip is of the edge at back of the stand, otherwise fine. With sticker under his stand that reads 'La Santonnerie'.
