This doll is part of a series of more than 100 dolls, all dressed differently in authentic Dutch regional costumes, often carrying little attributes like baskets, flowers and so on. They are standing on their own brown plastic or wooden nameplates. It is a fantastic series and it is not easy to find them all.
A Dutch male doll from Walcheren, a region and former island in the Zeeland province in The Netherlands. Dressed as a fisherman holding a fish. He is a plastic doll with eyes that open and close. Wooden clogs. Stand is missing but the doll is fine, although a bit wobbly.
