These dolls are part of a series of more than 100 dolls, all dressed differently in authentic Dutch regional costumes, often carrying little attributes like baskets, flowers and so on. They are standing on their own brown plastic or wooden nameplates. It is a fantastic series and it is not easy to find them all.
Two Dutch dolls, both dressed in the traditional costume of Hindeloopen, located in the Friesland province. The female is wearing the costume of a married woman. A married woman wears her shawl to the left to show that her hart (on the left side) is taken. She wears a red underskirt. They are plastic dolls standing on their thin plastic and wooden nameplates marked 'Hindeloopen'. The female has some paint loss to her feet and her head is a bit wobbly. Good otherwise.
