Large and unusual female doll in traditional dress from Egypt. Made of cloth over wire with stockinette head and limbs. Maybe she is a market vendor. She is sitting down with a straw basket between her legs, which is filled with a piece of fabric. Under the fabric is some tissue paper to make it look full. By the feel of it her nose is made of thick paper and tends to move a bit to the side but it can be set straighter again under the flexible stockinette. The hand supporting her head once was glued to her face but I leave it up to you to glue it back or just to leave it as it is. You can see the spot of old glue on her cheek when the hand leaves it's place.
