Pretty Santon doll from the Provence region in France representing a lavender cutter. A older woman harvesting lavender, carrying branches of real dried lavender and a sickle (cutting tool). She is made of clay, her arms and legs are partly made of wire to make them bend. She is standing on a round piece of clay which tells us the name and address of the maker Maurice Paul. There is also a sticker attached to the apron that reads 'Syndicat des Santonniers de Provence, Véritable santon d'argile'.
