Male doll performing the most popular form of the Kandyan dances, the Ves dance. Originally the Ves dance was strictly done by men only but nowadays women also perform. Typical for the Ves costume is the sacred silver crown-like headdress. It's a cloth over wire doll with a pressed material face. Fixed onto a wooden stand.
