A beautiful matching pair of dolls in traditional dress from Cusco* in Peru, south America. Their heads are made of painted clay or composition. Arms and legs are made of wire wound with wool thread. Hats made of painted cardboard and fabric. The female is holding a spindle for spinning wool and carries a baby on her back. The male carries a bundle of straw.
